The Challenge

A teacher can only teach one lesson at a time. In a classroom filled with students, how can one teacher effectively meet the diverse needs of each student?

Today’s classroom teachers are faced with the immense challenge of customizing learning to the needs of each student.

As a result, classroom instruction is usually based more on the standard curriculum than on each student’s specific needs.

The Concept

By complementing teacher-led instruction with other approaches to learning, teachers can simultaneously support the diverse needs of each student.

Teacher-led instruction is one way to deliver instruction. It may be the best way, but it’s not the only way. There are other ways students can learn.

Our Model

We redesign the classroom in ways that both integrate multiple instructional approaches and leverage the collective talents of teachers to enable personalized learning.

Integrating all of these approaches into a single learning environment enables a teacher to better address the individual needs of each student.

By doing so, a classroom can shift from looking like this... one that looks like this, where multiple skills can be taught simultaneously and students can experience instructional approaches aligned to their particular academic needs.

This is one way that New Classrooms helps teachers personalize learning in their classrooms.
