New Classrooms is committed to ensuring the needs of every K-12 student is met by changing the learning models. Their work has started with math, specifically middle and high school math through the Teach to One: Math program.
Currently, two-thirds of students nationwide enter high school off track in math, an indicator of future long-term success. When students are required to take remedial math courses upon entering college—typically costing several thousand dollars in tuition and not eligible for credit—their likelihood of earning a college degree plummets. Forty percent of students who take remedial coursework never earn their degrees.
Teach to One: Math is changing the way students and teachers experience middle school math by redesigning how the classroom works—from the use of technology, time, and physical space to the instruction and content that engages each student. In Teach to One: Math, students and teachers receive customized daily schedules that ensure each student is learning the right math lesson, at the right time, and in the right way that best meets their strengths and needs. This approach helps students accelerate learning.
Each day, New Classrooms provides personalized math support to thousands of students across the United States.
